Uni K Wax: perfect legs

Let’s say it out loud: having a wax is never a pleasure. For some of us with particularly sensitive skin waxing is a real torture. But we have to do it. We all have our trusted “waxer” where we go before leaving for a trip, but sometimes you have to leave unexpectedly or stay away longer than the duration of the wax. What can you do? A good address is priceless, but I’ll give it to you for free: Uni K Wax 771 on 17th Street (close to Lincoln Road).

If you’re looking for somewhere elegant where they pamper you, this is not the place for you. Here they promise a quick, good wax at an attractive price.

The waiting room looks like a dentist’s; the “torture chambers” are quite small with stark furnishings, and the beauticians are reliable but don’t talk much.

The wax is 100% natural. It’s made from a peculiar conifer resin, beeswax, and other natural ingredients. It’s used at body temperature, spread with a palette and torn off without paper/tissue strips. The result is little painful, leaves soft skin, and lasts a little less than classic cold waxing.

You can have any part of your face or body waxed, including the most delicate areas.

The wax is manufactured in Florida and the industry that produces it was established in 1993 in South Beach.

If you want to learn more you can visit their website.

You can make a reservation or try going in and waiting for a while; they will usually serve you.
