What to do

What can you do in a city like Miami? The correct answer is EVERYTHING.

Miami and Miami Beach are renown destinations know for the sun, the sea, the weather, the nightlife, happy hours with the sunset as your background… but there’s more!

Sports, for instance, are a start. With the help of a temperate weather (and an ever sultry summertime!), practicing a sport outdoor is the most popular pastime. You will find suggestions, addresses, and locations to practice the sport you prefer or to learn something new.

Shopping can also be full of surprises—casual wear and sportswear is quite cheap and the quality is good. There are also the, in my view, horrible malls and outlets with interesting sales—many tourists arrive with empty suitcases to be fill hours before leaving.

Speaking about Miami’s nightlife is redundant: when you come to Miami, you already know everything.

However, there is a different kind of nightlife outside of the clubs and at the theatres, full of live music, conferences, and the cinema.

What about when it rains? In addition to shopping, you can visit exhibitions and museums of which only few know about. However, Miami has a devoted art circuit with hundreds of galleries and museums that are worth a visit.

If you are interested in pampering yourself, you will find varying level of luxury spas, personal trainers, masseurs, and cosmetologists.

To get in touch with people, schools are better than happy hours. Language schools, yoga academies, Zumba dance classes, cooking courses: there is coursework for any taste and pocket.

“Free Is Better” is a page that we dedicated to those of us that know that, even if everything has a price in Miami Beach, there are a lot of things to see and to do that are (almost) free. Some are more expected than others but many are really exiting—not just cultural but pastimes that will enrich your days without emptying your pockets.
